What were the causes of the War of Independence?

But the policy of the British government was to bring the development under control and to collect more taxes from the colonies. On April 19| 1775| on their way to Concord to seize the military supplies of the militia there| the British soldiers met armed militiamen. The shots were fired| the War of Independence began.</p>
