The 21st century has witnessed a new situation that students are provided with a variety of ways to receive college studies. When asked whether students should attend university at home or abroad, I would argue for the latter.

Studying in a foreign country can offer some advantages that cannot be attained by going to domestic universities. First of all, overseas study is an eye-opening experience, during which exposure to different educational political, cultural and economic systems will better prepare students as global leaders. It is not uncommon to hear international students say that their overseas experience has changed the way they view the world and encouraged them to view its issues from different perspectives. Another benefit of studying abroad is career attainment. It is noteworthy that those who have studied in a foreign country are more likely to have access to a wide range of professional opportunities, partly due to the skills and internship experience they gained, and partly due to an international insight provided by their study.

In conclusion, although studying abroad will probably involve difficulties such as culture shock and homesickness, I would still advise those who have the opportunity to further their study abroad as it is highly rewarding.
